Clark Neuhoff, President
Clark Neuhoff is president of The Sextant Company, a business development consulting firm dedicated to helping its clients reach the next level. Clark has spent over 25 years building brands at Fortune 500 and lesser consumer and industrial companies. Prior to founding The Sextant Company in 2003, Clark established a proven track record of sales and profit growth, working as an Advertising Agency Planner and progressing to Division Marketing Management with companies that include Motorola, Kraft Foods, McCormick, Eveready Battery and The Seven Up Company. He played major roles in strategic planning, brand building, new products, channel development, communication strategy, customer acquisition and retention.
Clark is an active member of the Institute of Management Consultants and the Tooling and Manufacturing Association.
Clark is also committed to giving back by sharing his expertise with pro bono clients. Has served on the school board where his children attend, and leads a career transition group at his church. Clark and his wife have been married 26 years and are raising three children in the Chicago area. |

Tom Kurtz, Managing Director
Thomas D. Kurtz, Partner, has over 22 years of investment banking and private equity experience. Tom used his extensive knowledge and 22 years of relationships with the premier lending institutions and private equity firms, to provide capital solutions for clients. This capital may take the form of senior debt, subordinated debt (mezzanine) and/or equity. Tom has worked for financial institutions that have focused both individually and collectively on these capital instruments.
Tom joined Sextant in 2004 to provide its clients with the expertise to evaluate a company’s capital needs, in particular to properly structure both debt and equity instruments to fund growth, acquisitions, recapitalizations and turnaround situations. Tom also assists business owners in evaluating their current competitive position to maximize their exist strategy.
In addition, Tom’s experience enables him to analyze opportunities for both buy-side and sell-side clients and access an extensive network of strategic and financial buyers and sources of capital. Tom has extensive experience in advising on sale, divestiture, buyout, recapitalization and restructuring transactions on behalf of family owned companies, professionally managed companies, and private equity investors. He combines strong deal process capabilities with extensive industry knowledge to orchestrate highly tailored transaction processes.
Prior to joining Sextant, Tom held senior positions with financing institutions such as GE Capital, Citicorp and Bank One, originating and underwriting over $500 million in total capital invested. Many of his transactions with these institutions were associated with restructuring a company’s debt to facilitate acquisitions and growth opportunities, maximizing the use of senior and subordinated debt to meet the company’s current and future capital needs. He earned his B.S. in Accounting from Western Michigan University in 1982. |
